This week we honored and celebrated Fire Chief Barry Ealy for his 29 years of service, leadership, and commitment to West Memphis.

Chief Ealy officially retired, after spending almost over three decades protecting this city, mentoring firefighters, and raising the standard for what leadership looks like in public safety.

“Chief Ealy led with strength, heart, and purpose. He made this city and this department better, and he leaves a legacy that will impact the safety and future of this city for generations. We are grateful for his service and proud of what he leaves behind” said Mayor McClendon.

Thank you, Chief Ealy, for everything you have given to West Memphis.
