The West Mifflin Area High School belongs to the Middle States Association of College

s and Schools and has been accredited by the Middle Atlantic States since 1965. Renovations to the campus began in March of 1998 and were completed in August 2001. The District began envisioning a school of the future rich with technology to allow West Mifflin Area students to compete in an ever-changing world. Board members, administrators and staff mapped out a blueprint that would add more than 112,765 square feet to an existing 142,660 square feet. Students are experiencing the integration of technology through the support of the board of school directors and the state funded Classrooms for the Future. This new technology, providing for laptop computers, white boards, web cameras and professional development for their teachers, is preparing them for global success.

Titan Thyme finished up the school year with one last job, catering for the Senior Picnic. With the seniors gone, next year's class has stepped up to help too! They prepared 200 hotdogs, hamburgers, 12 pounds of pasta salad and 8 watermelons! They practiced the skills necessary to keep food safe at summer cookouts and got to enjoy the end of year celebration with the seniors.

The Robotics Club finalized their 2025 drone designs and held their first Flight Tests on Monday May 12th.
15 students completed their drones and were able to take flight through a course set up in the lower parking lot field of the high school campus.
Most students were able to complete a series of Take off, Hover, Landing and Routing Tests before flying the course and some were able to fly the whole course throughout the day.
All 15 students achieved a completion status of designing, soldering, assembling, programming and flying their drones.
Numerous program/reprogram procedures were followed to achieve flying status.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated and achieved their goals!
