The new and improved GYM for our West Milton employees! This endeavor was made possible by being approved for a grant to purchase this equipment and the room upgrades! The police and fire sides worked together to make this possible and provide an option for the employees of West Milton to have a nice easily accessible exercise space. 💪🏃‍♂️

🚨 TRAFFIC SAFETY NOTICE – MILTON-UNION ELEMENTARY 🚨

The West Milton Police Department is aware of an ongoing traffic issue in front of Milton-Union Elementary School during student pick-up.

We have been working with Milton-Union Schools to address the issue and improve traffic flow and safety during student pick-up.
During pick-up, traffic has been backing up on Milton-Potsdam Road. While vehicles waiting in the designated left-hand turn lane are permitted, vehicles stopped or parked in the roadway outside of the turn lane is a violation of law.

Stopping or parking outside of the turn lane creates the following:

🚑 Delays for emergency vehicles
🚌 Difficulties for school buses entering and exiting the area
🚗 Traffic congestion and unsafe conditions for other motorists

As a remedy beginning Monday, September 14, 2026, the West Milton Police Department will begin enforcing the traffic laws in this area. Motorists that are stopped or parked outside of the turn lane maybe issued a citation.

We understand that school pick-up can be busy and congested. Our goal is not to create an inconvenience for those picking up students, but rather to keep traffic moving and ensure emergency vehicles and school buses can safely access the area.

Please plan accordingly, follow the designated traffic lanes, and do not block the roadway while waiting for student pick-up. The School lots for pick up are open at 2:30pm. Do not show up until 2:30pm or after.
