🗓️Village Council Workshop RECAP - 8/25/2026🗓️
Last night the Village Council met and discussed the following items:
1️⃣The developer of Stillwater Crossings gave an update about the project and answered questions from the Village Council.
2️⃣Discussed future legislation including:
▪️A resolution to adopt a Strategic Plan
▪️A resolution to authorize the VM to contract for Brand Image Services
▪️A resolution to authorize the VM to submit an OPWC application
▪️A resolution to authorize the VM to contract with McPheron Masonry for entrance signage
▪️A resolution to modify the PDP for Stillwater Crossings - South
3️⃣Heard updates about many topics including:
▪️Comprehensive Plan / Zoning Code Updates - PLEASE TAKE THE SURVEY HERE - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2026WMSurvey . We will also be holding public meetings on October 14 and October 15 from 5-7pm at the Village Hall to discuss the final draft plan.
▪️West Milton Community Improvement Corporation (WMCIC) discussion
▪️Thanked all of people who helped make Rock the Hill a success!
▪️Parks / Downtown Updates
4️⃣Sidewalk Program - Discussed the previously created program from Fall 2025 and the Village Manager discussed proposed changes to the program including splitting the funding into two portions - one to build new sidewalks throughout the Village to complete the sidewalk system, and one to replace existing sidewalks that are in disrepair. A new proposed program will be brought before Council at the September Workshop for further discussion.
