**********SCAM ALERT**********

We have been notified by local retail stores that some residents (predominantly elderly) have been attempting to purchase Apple Gift Cards to "help" those affected by the recent floods.

Please spread the word.....if you receive a phone call or email asking you to purchase Apple Gift Cards under the guise that the funds will be used to aid those affected by the recent floods, this is a SCAM.

It's unfortunate that some will try to take advantage of the generosity of others - - but it is a reality. If you wish to donate, please take steps to ensure that you are giving to a trustworthy and reputable person/organization.
