Keep an eye out for a patriotic new addition to West Monroe!

As part of America's 250th Anniversary celebration, our friends at Ouachita Green are transforming fire hydrants throughout our community into red, white, and blue works of art inspired by the American flag. Several of these patriotic hydrants can be found right here in West Monroe, helping bring a little extra patriotic spirit to our streets as we prepare to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday.

If you spot one while you're out and about, snap a photo and share it with us! We'd love to see these community landmarks through your lens. Be sure to tag the City of West Monroe and keep an eye out for more America 250 projects happening across our city this year. ❤️🤍💙

Keep West Monroe Beautiful was proud to participate in the Keep Louisiana Beautiful Regional Affiliate Training held in Monroe alongside affiliates from across North Louisiana. ♻️💚

The training provided valuable opportunities to network, collaborate, and learn about new programs, resources, and grant opportunities that will help strengthen beautification and litter prevention efforts in communities throughout the region.

We were especially proud to have KWMB Chairman Stuart Hodnett share information about West Monroe’s successful Frame the Drain program, highlighting the impact local partnerships and community involvement can have in protecting our waterways and keeping our city beautiful.

A big thank you to Keep Louisiana Beautiful for bringing affiliates together to learn, share ideas, and continue making a difference across our state.

Join us this Saturday, May 16, for the West Monroe High School and surrounding neighborhoods cleanup as we work together to Keep West Monroe Beautiful. From 9–11 AM, volunteers will help pick up litter, beautify the area, and make a positive impact right here in our community.

We had a small but mighty crew that did a clean-up downtown post RIVERFEST. Thanks to the City of West Monroe who did a fabulous job cleaning up. Made our job easy! We love the downtown and are proud to keep it clean. From Cotton to Commerce we keep it clean !

Due to recent weather conditions, the Hasley Cemetery Community Cleanup has been postponed. This decision was made with the safety of our volunteers and the overall integrity of the cemetery in mind.
We are grateful to everyone who signed up to volunteer and support this effort.
