Drill this week was a simulated car pedestrian crash. About 25 members attended and we had mutual aid from Central Square. The scenario was a car with five occupants struck a family of four on the roadside and the car ended up in the trees. Our crews did a great job with patient care, extrication work, and traffic control. Well planned and very involved drills are an important piece of a keeping members engaged in a volunteer fire department.

A very productive “ plan B” was used, a good training program always has a plan B. 30 members attended and Lieutenants Maher and Gass presented a very involved, and interactive session on size up and scene safety. A portable radio was passed around and many members got a chance to be the first arriving and report their size up of pictures of actual emergencies.
