Creating social inclusion for children with disabilities through the vehicle of inclusive playgrounds and programs. The West Monroe Civitan Club (WMCC) is an affiliate of Civitan International, Inc., an organization of service clubs across the nation and around the world. We support the above vision and mission of Shane's Inspiration. Shane's Inspiration has designed numerous inclusive pl
aygrounds across the US, Sochi Olympics and Ecuador, so having had them design Smiles Park based on our community's needs is a big win! To fully be able to grasp what an Inclusive Playground is and does for children with and without disabilities, take a moment to watch the above mentioned video. The WMCC is putting $270,000 of seed money into the project. In addition the City of West Monroe has provided the land at Kiroli Park at no charge, a fully constructed and accessible $240,000 pavilion and has agreed to the maintenance and upkeep once it is built.
