🩺⚕️Desert Medic Family Spotlight 🩺⚕️

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Christopher Host as the first Soldier and Family Program (SFP), Family Director for the 3D Theater Medical Command (3D TMC).

Mr. Host will serve as a key member in supporting our Soldiers and their families across our geographically dispersed formation. He will enhance communication, strengthen family engagement, and help ensure our families stay informed, connected, and supported throughout the readiness and deployment cycles.

We are excited to have Mr. Host be part of the SFP team and look forward to the dedication and powerful impact he will bring to our culture, families, and 3D TMC!

President Franklin D. Roosevelt called it "a date which will live in infamy".

Today, we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice that day.

Thanksgiving is a day to reflect on our blessings, and express gratitude for the blessing we share with our friends and family. It is also a day to remember our Desert Medic Soldiers that are serving the United States of America, both home and abroad. We give thanks for what we have and are reminded of the personal sacrifice of those that cannot celebrate with their loved ones.

Command Sergeant Major Kaim and I would like to express our sincere thanks to all the 3d Theater Medical Command Soldiers across the east coast and the Middle East for their personal courage and selfless service.

As you reflect on your own personal blessings, we ask that you take the time to focus on continuing to build resiliency; affirm strong relationships and if needed, find the strength to reach out for assistance from friends, family or professionals.

In or out of uniform, you have the distinction of serving and connecting America’s Army Reserve to communities across the globe. You bring Army values and leadership wherever you go and in turn you have the support of a grateful nation.

We hope that you will spend this Thanksgiving focusing on what brings us together. Be safe, enjoy your time with friends and family, and come back to the formation refreshed and ready to stand by your fellow brother and sister Desert Medics.

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
