UPDATE: MISSING AGAIN

James Vance was found on Friday and then left home again on Saturday 8/29/26 at 0820hrs. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and black jeans. He is known to wear a black ski mask. He has been deemed ungovernable by the Montgomery County Children and Youth Services and should be put in placement soon.


🚨 MISSING JUVENILE 🚨

James Vance, 17 years old, is described as a white male, approximately 6’2” tall and 170 lbs., with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes.

Vance was last seen leaving his residence in the 1800 block of Ardin Drive in West Norriton Township. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.

Vance is known to frequent the PAL Center and Transportation Center in Norristown Borough and is also known to wear a black Nike ski mask.

Anyone with information regarding James Vance’s whereabouts is asked to call the West Norriton Township Police Department at 610-630-1701 or email Detective Mark Wassmer at [email protected].

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE: WEST NORRITON POLICE NON-EMERGENCY NUMBER 🚨

The West Norriton Township Police Department’s non-emergency phone number is changing.

📞 NEW Non-Emergency Number: 610-635-4300

The current number, 610-630-1700, is being phased out by Verizon and will no longer be in service after August 31, 2026.

Residents are encouraged to save the new number in their phones and update their contact information now.

🚔 As always, if you are experiencing an emergency or need immediate police, fire, or medical assistance, call 911.

Congratulations to Cpl. Joseph Natalini, Cpl. Kristin Touchstone, and Sgt. Robert Palermo on celebrating 25 years of service with West Norriton Township Police. All three were hired on August 13, 2001.
Everyone likes a good before and after, so who aged the best? We can all agree, Touchstone does not age!!!!

🚨 WEST NORRITON POLICE – ASSISTANCE NEEDED 🚨

The West Norriton Township Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the pictured individual.

On Thursday, August 6, at approximately 4:00 AM, the individual was observed loitering and prowling around residences and entering unlocked vehicles throughout West Norriton Township.

Anyone who recognizes this individual or has information that may assist with their identification is urged to contact the West Norriton Township Police Department.

Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles, remove valuables, and report suspicious activity.
