Maggie's Love Boxes

Maggie's Love Boxes Rallying around and supporting families who have a family member fighting medical 'monsters.' Love Works. Maggie's Ministry Team

Maggie's Ministry was launched in 2008 after four year old, Maggie Lynn Achuff passed away from Neuroblastoma, an awful childhood cancer monster. Maggie's courageous fight inspired Hope Community Church to rally around this family and help them be their support in whatever ways they needed. This taught us that fighting is lonely and no one should have to fight their monster alone. Maggie's Ministr

y was created to be the support of other families who have a family member who is fighting a medical "monster" and enduring medical hardship. We stand by families and look to help them in anyway that they need whether that be childcare so that parents can be at the hospital with their other sick child, helping out with household needs, visiting and talking with families, being dedicated prayer warriors, and assembling and delivering gift baskets to hopefully bring some simple joys. Two/Three times a year Maggie's Ministry holds events where people can donate items, gift cards, or financially give to these families in need. During these events volunteers assemble many baskets where they then are delivered to families who need them from our community, and families down at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia who have traveled away from their community, or have no community to rally around them. We believe that we can help support these families and demonstrate the love of Jesus by loving them and spreading joy: one person, one family, and one community at a time. We're excited to see how God continues to use this ministry! For more information or questions:

Tuesday's delivery to Nemours Children's Hospital was extra special because we had 2 special helpers. Lyndley and Layton helped unpack 22 Love Boxes from the car for the children at the hospital. They wheeled cart inside, took pictures and then safely stored tm in the supply closet. Sara (our Nemour's contact) surprised them with a visit to the child life special area in the hospital. They especially liked the air hockey table. I Love watching kid's excitement for helping other Kids. Sending a big thank you to all who donated finances, items or their time to help make this delivery.

Recently, CHOP King of Prussia reached out to ask if we’d be willing to create a new type of comfort box specifically for neurodivergent patients—and our answer was an enthusiastic ABSOLUTELY! 💜

Now we need your help to get started! We’ve added items to our Amazon Wish List that will help us create these specialized boxes with thoughtfully chosen sensory-friendly items. Every purchase will help us better support children during what can be a very overwhelming experience.

Thank you for helping us show these kids they are loved and cared for. 💜

Another delivery for Maggie’s Love Bundles! 💜

This time, our bundles were delivered to Nemours Children’s Hospital in Delaware. Together, we packed 83 bags for children facing trauma—each one filled with love to help provide comfort during an incredibly difficult time.

Eighty-three bags! We’re so grateful to everyone who helps make moments like this possible. Every bundle is a reminder to a child that they are seen, loved, and not alone. 💜

An Exciting Day for Maggies! 💜 On top of our Box delivery, we had a Bundle delivery!

This delivery was made possible through the generous support of the Upper Merion Township Board of Community Assistance Grant awarded earlier this year. Their investment in Maggie’s Love Bundles allows us to continue providing comfort, care, and dignity to children in the hospital who have experienced trauma.

Today, at CHOP in KOP, we delivered:
💚 28 Going Home Bags filled with new clothes, a cozy blanket, a stuffed animal, and activities to help bring comfort during a difficult time.

💜 20 Overnight Bags stocked with pajamas, fuzzy socks, and robes for children who unexpectedly find themselves spending the night in the hospital.

We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and for the Board of Community Assistance’s commitment to supporting vulnerable children and families in our community. Every bag delivered is a reminder that no child should face trauma without knowing they are loved, valued, and cared for.

Thank you for helping us continue this important mission. 💜
