Our Rockland BOCES Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) students start their first day of school by meeting new friends and reviewing safety protocols and program requirements. Juniors and seniors from across the county will learn hands-on skills preparing them for a twenty-first-century workforce.

CTEC offers hands-on training and education in trades such as construction, welding, automotive repair, cosmetology and culinary arts. Learn more at RocklandBOCES.org.

It was a day of inspiration and celebration at Rockland BOCES as our team gathered to launch the 2026-27 academic year! On our West Nyack campus, teachers, administrators and staff reconnected after a busy summer at our annual Kick-Off Celebration.

This year, our agency welcomed 100 new full- and part-time administrators, faculty and staff members. As part of the celebration, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Jessica Alexander, recognized 60 employees with nearly 1,330 combined years of service to Rockland BOCES.

Reflecting on our agency’s growth, District Superintendent Chris D’Ambrese looked to the future through our Capital Project. “Rockland BOCES is not just building structures, but laying the foundation for a thriving future and the work being done every day to advance our community. This $47 million effort is critical to supporting our agency's growth by creating modern spaces for learning and discovery. Rockland BOCES isn’t just built for today. It’s built for generations.”

Our Rockland BOCES Adult Education courses help you build skills, explore new interests and advance your career. Check out our Certified Phlebotomy and EKG Technician program starting September 22, 2026.

The program provides specialized training in cardiovascular testing and blood collection techniques. Students learn to perform 12-lead electrocardiograms (EKG). Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory practice, students acquire the essential skills needed to work in hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, blood donation centers, and cardiology offices.

Rockland BOCES welcomed over 30 new administrators, teachers, nurses, clinicians, bus drivers, teacher aides, custodians and others during today’s New Staff Orientation!

In preparation for the 2026-27 school year, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Jessica Alexander led new employees as they took their staff ID photos, logged into their emails for the first time and shared their aspirations for the upcoming school year.
