Rockland Jewish Family Service Dedicated to providing excellent social services in Rockland County. Independent and nonsectarian. Our programs are open to people of all faiths.

RJFS provides compassionate, professional human services to help people overcome challenges and live their lives to the fullest. Our community-based services enable individuals to overcome a wide range of personal challenges and develop coping strategies that will lead to richer, more meaningful lives. We offer counseling for adults and children, bereavement services, groups to support individuals with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, and home-based therapy, among other services.

HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT OUR CAMP?

Camp Kipanga offers a unique summer camp program for children ages 5-14 who struggle with peer relationships, impulse control, fitting in with others, coping with emotions and related difficulties. We offer extra support to children with social challenges so they can enjoy a successful summer camp experience.

Our full focus is on building social skills through play and fun activities that embrace the whole camper.

Offering a huge range of services for older adults and their families:

—Assessment, case management and home care services for Holocaust survivors. Funded by a grant from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany.

—Counseling and caregiver support to adults over 60 and their families/caregivers.

—Assistance with government benefit applications.

—Case management, guidance and weekly programs for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and their families and caregivers.

Kosher Chopped was sooo much fun!!! Thank you to all of the competitors, to the spectators, to our amazing JUDGES! We had a great time seeing everyone’s hidden talents and creativity emerge. The judges were impressed!! And our mc for the evening, chef and food influencer Naomi Nachman, mentioned several “never seen that before” moments — and she’s been doing these competitions for ten years! Way to bring your A games, everyone!

We are in need of two lifeguards to watch the pool at our 6 week summer camp at Ramapo College in Mahwah, NJ for one hour every afternoon, from 2-3pm. You do not have to be 18 years old for this job. We are Proud to Honor ROBERTA LEITNER

This year we are proud to honor Roberta Leitner at Israel Bonds' Lila & Jules Stern Premier Brunch. Roberta is our tireless Volunteer Coordinator, and also a volunteer herself. She brings enormous heart to the task of matching volunteers to clients looking for a kind word and good conversation.
