Soldiers of the 2113th Transportation Company and the 1221st Transportation FRG held the transfer of authority ceremony on April 27th. CPT Smith and 1SG Matheney (2113th TC) returned the cover on our company guidon, signifying the unit as “Mission Accomplished.” CPT Ryan and 1SG Ball (1221st) unveiled their company guidon, signifying that they are ready to assume responsibility of operations here in Poland.

Throughout the last few weeks, these Soldiers put in endless hours of work during the adjustment period to make sure the 1221st is mission ready. We are confident that they are ready to take on any task, and are ready for any challenge that is to come.

COL Jones and CSM Williams, 1st CAV, coined the following 2113th Soldiers for their hard work and dedication to the unit:

SSG Lewis
SPC Plunk
SPC Lowe
SPC Wright
SPC Giest

COL Jones chose SPC Giest to nominate a Soldier who demonstrates strong leadership skills and is committed to helping Soldiers succeed in any circumstance. Giest chose MSG Abbott, our Truck Master and leader of operations. When asked why he chose MSG Abbott, Giest stated: “Even as an E-8, I still see him in there every day working hard to better himself and set the standard for those hopeful to be in the same position as him one day…and he said I couldn’t push 100’s which motivated me pretty well.” Abbott was then coined and congratulated by COL and CSM.

MSG Abbott has always invested himself in the development of Soldiers in any way he can, whether professionally or personally. We are very thankful to have him on our team.

We wish the 1221st the best of luck on their deployment and we hope we left a strong legacy for them to build upon!

We would like to thank the Shiloh General Baptist Church for a package of blankets to give to our Soldiers. They will surely come in great use to offset the colder weather we are having!!

Also, not sure what to have for lunch? Try having a ruck! Not only are they packed full of morale, but they also have a good amount of endurance and fitness in it! Our operations and headquarters team say they’re really good for you 😎

Stay warm, healthy, and safe Outlaws!

🚨 ‼️Long Post Below ‼️ 🚨

Hello Outlaws!

We hope that you are staying safe, healthy, and warm.

Over the last few weeks we have had a series of events and promotions we are going to fill you all in on!

First, we would like to congratulate the following Soldiers on their promotions.

PFC Lowe —> SPC Lowe

SPC Anderson —> SGT Anderson
SPC Smith —> SGT Smith
SPC Jordan —> SGT Jordan

Congratulations Troops!! 🪖

We celebrated the 3rd Infantry Division’s Birthday by completing a series of exercises that reflect our physical readiness. It was a great training exercise especially following the Combat Fitness Test everyone took days prior 🏋🏽‍♂️

A group of 2113th Soldiers volunteered with local members and USO representatives to help cut firewood for the Polish Community.

We hosted a Turkey bowl event where our Maintenance Section took 1st Place 🔧🏅

As we are seeing snow here in Europe, Soldiers were given a block of instruction to refresh them on how to properly use snow chains if the need arises while on a convoy.

Finally, we would also like to thank some members of our Kentucky community for sending blankets to keep our Soldiers warm as the temperatures continue to drop. Recipients are chosen at random by drawing names out of our trusty bucket 😎 We are very appreciative to have your support ♥️🇺🇸

Happy Monday Outlaws!

It is with great pleasure to announce that our commander has officially been promoted from 1LT to Captain!!

CPT Smith comes with quite the reputation in the Kentucky National Guard as she has worked with many of the Soldiers here on this deployment in various capacities. From being a platoon leader, a Company Executive Officer, and to her current role as a Company Commander, she has excelled so much as a leader and role model for junior officer and junior enlisted Soldiers. The impact she has on others is truly remarkable to witness. Many find comfort and peace of mind knowing that they are being led by someone who strives to bring success to the mission and ensure the welfare of all of her Soldiers are met. We couldn’t be more grateful to have such an inspirational leader.

We are eager to watch her continue to pave the way for Soldiers and grow with us everyday ♥️🇺🇸

Over the past few weeks, we have been hard at work as we move into the winter season. We will be sure to share some photos as they become available. Stay tuned!
