Each year during Military Appreciation Week, our friends at Royal Palm Beach hosts the different service branches for a free sandwich.

Tuesday May 12, 2026 was our day.

The National Anthem played on cue at high noon, and members of our beloved Detachment were honored to lead the customers in the Pledge of Allegiance.

This is what community is about.

Several members of our beloved Detachment volunteer their time driving for the DAV, driving golf carts, handing out ice cream, supporting Veteran’s events at and getting the word out to our Veteran Community in PBC.

📍 The VA has many volunteer “jobs” to fill and they are in need of qualified volunteers.

📍 VACOM is a communication system many Veterans are enrolled in to receive emails and event notices.

📍 The VA2K is coming up on 20 May 2026 and we will be setting up a 10x10 tent and handing out water!

📍 Summer Youth Program for local high school needs applicants - April 30th signup deadline.

📍 DAV needs drivers ASAP !!
