It's Bat Week! 🦇 Meet some of the 13 species of bats found in Florida. 🌴
This international celebration shines a light on the vital role bats play in nature. These fascinating animals play a crucial role in maintaining healthy ecosystems and supporting our economy. While often unseen, bats work tirelessly each night; consuming countless insects, pollinating plants and dispersing seeds that help forests and gardens thrive.

Unfortunately, habitat loss, use of pesticides, climate change and hurricane damage threaten their survival, but you can help!
- Report sightings to local researchers ✅
- Plant native flowers to attract insects ✅
- Share the importance of Bat Week! ✅

Let’s work together to protect these wonderful creatures that work hard every night to keep our ecosystems in balance. 💚
