💛 Thankful Thursday: Expressing Appreciation for CSD Staff 🙌

Recently, the Wellness Team of the Palm Beach County Community Services Department, joined by Deputy Director Keith Clinkscales, visited CSD staff throughout the county to express their heartfelt appreciation for the work that they do. "Without you, CSD would crumble!" they said to staff as they handed them cookies along with other snacks and, for those not at their desk, notes of appreciation.🍪

We are so grateful for all our staff -- without your dedication and commitment to excellence, CSD would not be able to achieve its mission of "providing effective and essential services to our residents in need."

How can we expand economic opportunity across Palm Beach County? It starts with understanding the conditions that shape opportunity in our communities—and working together to change them.

During the Lunch Plenary at the 2026 Securing Our Future Economic Mobility Summit, leaders from government, business, higher education, and the community will explore Opportunity Palm Beach County (Opportunity PBC) and how shared data, geographic mapping, and research can help align investments, strengthen accountability, and advance upward economic mobility.

Creating Systems that Support Brain Health, Recovery, and Economic Mobility

Recovery is an economic development strategy. When communities invest in mental health, substance use recovery, and supportive services, individuals have greater opportunities to heal, build resilience, and thrive in the workforce.

At the 2026 Securing Our Future Economic Mobility Summit, this session will explore how integrated approaches—including Recovery Community Hubs, Project OVERDOSE, behavioral health services, peer support, and recovery-friendly workplaces—can strengthen communities and create pathways to economic mobility.

Hear from industry leaders as they discuss how addressing brain health, trauma, and social determinants of health can support workforce participation, reduce long-term public costs, and help individuals and families build a more stable future.
