It is with the saddest heart that we announce the passing of a dear friend and fellow Village volunteer Dan Hulen.

All who came to Yesteryear Village at the South Florida Fair could see Dan at one of a few buildings , one in particular was the gas station ⛽️.

Dan we are going to miss you but we know you are reunited with your wife up there in heaven.

Want to wish everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July.

We ask is you go out tonight and light off fireworks that you do so carefully. We consider it in areas where you know there are a lot of animals or in areas where you know a lot of veterans live.

Do not use hey propane gas grill to light off no fireworks, be careful being too close to houses or dry debris. We don’t want any of you to be the reason any of our fire departments have to come out tonight or paramedic units because you did not use caution while celebrating the Fourth of July..

Happy to report he is out of surgery.

The new pacemaker hasn’t started really kicking in yet so his heart rate is low. Which they are keeping an eye on at the moment.

Dr. Garcia says Chief will not be 💯 percent heart rate since he has AFIB but his heart rate should be about 65 after a few days or so & if it goes below that then they will be concerned.

Tonight, so far, they will be keeping him at the hospital 🏥 to watch him. By the morning they will decide if he can be discharged.

This pace maker has a monitor that they will be sending to me or the facility so they can monitor him..

Once he goes back to the facility he will be limited on his activity.

On this day ,9/11, we never must forget not only the brave 343 brother firefighters we lost this day but all who lost their life's do to this senseless tragedy.

This day was filled with lots of emotions because many of us had family or friends who worked in the twin towers or in neighboring buildings. While waiting patiently for any type of answers many families endured a lot of stress. What seemed like days or months( as the hours of this day went on) to get answers if someone loved one was in the building unfortunately all any of us could do with wait.

At times many people felt weak but many came together to give each other strength and encouragement to get through.
