Since its inception in 1995, Take Stock in Children has positively impacted the lives of over 18,000 children statewide throughout 67 counties. Over 7,500 mentors have volunteered with our program and in Palm Beach County alone we have awarded over $8 Million in scholarship funds. TSIC Palm Beach is proud to have graduated over 1,200 children considered ‘high-risk’ of drop-out, and currently has o

ver 300 students enrolled and on track for success. Clearly addressing the high school drop-out crisis, and college attainment, Take Stock in Children continues to report an unparalleled high school graduation rate of 92% and a college enrollment rate of 81%. Students are identified in middle and high school and must sign a contract pledging to remain drug and crime free, meet with their mentor weekly and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.3 or greater. Students fulfilling their contractual obligations receive a full tuition scholarship upon high school graduation.

A special thank you to Nicole Cummings for inspiring our students as the keynote speaker at College Decision Day 2026. 🚀💙

Nicole shared her journey from Palm Beach County student to aerospace leader, giving our seniors a firsthand look at what is possible through hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to dream big.

As someone who helped power NASA's Artemis missions, her story was a powerful reminder that the goals our students are pursuing today can lead to extraordinary opportunities tomorrow.

Thank you, Nicole, for encouraging our students to reach for the stars and showing them that no dream is too big. ✨

Through mentorship, guidance, scholarships, and the support of our team, students are able to see opportunities they may have never thought were within reach. Hearing our graduates share how their mindset and future changed through this program is exactly why we do what we do!

Every student deserves the chance to believe in what’s possible for their future, and we’re so proud to walk alongside them on that journey. 💙

🎓 Students accepted to Florida universities with demonstrated financial need learned their scholarships were expanded from 2 years to full 4-year university scholarships. Students heading away to school who needed housing also received a 1-year dorm plan, and every senior was gifted a new computer to support their next chapter.

💞For many families, these moments are truly life-changing. They mean less financial stress, more opportunities, and the ability for students to pursue their goals with the support and resources they need to succeed. Watching families celebrate together reminded us that these scholarships impact far more than one student; they create ripple effects that can change the future of an entire family!

Last month, we celebrated 160 incredible seniors as they proudly wore the hats representing the colleges and universities they chose for their next chapter. 💙

🎓 Together, we announced more than $1.6 million in Florida Prepaid tuition scholarships, surprise scholarship expansions from 2 years to full 4-year university scholarships, 1-year dorm plans for students heading away to school, and new computers gifted to every senior.

We are still smiling, thinking about this unforgettable day and all the bright futures ahead for the Class of 2026! ✨

Our mentors become a steady source of support, encouragement, and guidance during some of the most important years of a student’s life, and hearing these graduates reflect on that impact says it all.

As these students step into their next chapter, we’re reminded that one caring adult can truly help change the direction of a young person’s future.

We're putting a spotlight on three exceptional seniors. In addition to their scholarship, each of them is walking away with an additional $5,000 award, a check made out directly to their college or university.

✨ Outstanding Senior Award: David, Pahokee Middle High School
Recognized for his leadership, perseverance, and commitment to success. David is headed to the University of Florida.

✨ Highest GPA Award: Valentina, Boca Raton High School
With an incredible 5.49 GPA, Valentina has redefined academic excellence and is taking her talents to the University of Florida.

✨ Most Improved Award: Karla, Spanish River High School
Karla’s journey is a powerful example of resilience and growth. She refused to stay where she started, and she's proof that where you begin is not where you end. She is headed to Palm Beach State College.

We are so proud of these students and everything they have accomplished. Congratulations again to these outstanding seniors and the entire Class of 2026!

Last month, we were honored to be recognized by The Boca Raton Foundation for Charitable Giving at their inaugural grant event, a truly special afternoon we won't soon forget! 💙

We were nominated by Joan Cargill and Tameka Jones from The Boca Raton's Accounts Receivable team, who first learned about Take Stock Palm Beach after reading our story in the Palm Beach Post Season to Share. Getting to meet them in person and spend the afternoon together made the recognition even more meaningful.

Take Stock Palm Beach was one of 15 South Florida nonprofits honored in the foundation's first-ever grant cycle, which distributed more than $150,000 to organizations working in food security, education, and the well-being of women and children across Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.

Thank you to Joan, Tameka, and The Boca Raton Foundation for Charitable Giving for believing in our mission and investing in the futures of our students! 🙏
