Palm Beach County Youth Services takes mental wellness and youth development on the road!

In preparation for the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida's Camp Welaka. Alyssa Payne, PhD, one of Palm Beach County Youth Services Education & Training Center's talented Postdoctoral Fellows, provided a workshop for camp staff focused on social development, group cohesion, and practical strategies to help foster healthy peer relationships, confidence, and belonging.

The goal of this partnership is to prepare camp staff to offer positive support and mentorship to campers during their memorable summer adventures!

Future Leaders United for Change is a countywide youth council created in response to Palm Beach County's call to have the voice of our young people distinctively heard as we assess their needs and the implementation of programs and services that will influence them. Their mission is to be the voice for the youth of Palm Beach County creating leaders through self-motivation, determination, and education.

🎉 Join us in congratulating our 4 doctoral psychology interns and 1 postdoctoral fellow on graduating from the Palm Beach County Youth Services Department Psychology Training Program! 🧠🎓

This milestone is extra special as our program recently earned a full 10-year APA accreditation renewal! 🌟

After completing 2,000 rigorous clinical hours working with youth and families across residential care at Highridge Family Center and outpatient care at the Education & Training Center, these amazing professionals are ready to make a lasting impact on mental health in communities nationwide. 💙

Kids deserve every chance to thrive. That's why The Milagro Center is a Youth Services Department Community-Based Agency and Summer Camp Scholarship Program provider!

What makes Milagro Center so special is their homegrown leadership pipeline. The same youth who once participated in Milagro programs and services grow up to lead and inspire the next generation of youth. Through programs like their Future Ambassadors for Higher Education, Feeling Fit Health & Wellness Program, and Project COPE (Creative Opportunities for Personal Empowerment), Milagro provides vital educational, health & wellness, and life-skills support to local youth and their families. Pictured above are six former students who have returned to the community and become members of Milagro’s professional staff… helping other students’ dreams come true!

The United Nations officially established August 12 as International Youth Day in 1999, with global observances starting in the year 2000. It has been celebrated in the United States since then as part of this worldwide movement to amplify young voices and leadership.

Today, we celebrate the vibrant energy, creativity, and resilience of young minds around the globe. 🎈

Please join us in welcoming Youth Services Department's newest therapist, Hannah Perez!

Hannah graduated with honors as a first-generation graduate student, earning a master's degree in social work and a Child Welfare Certificate from Florida Atlantic University. She is also a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. She brings with her experience working with youth and families, providing crisis intervention, psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy, life skills education, and employment training!
