Palm Beach MPO The Palm Beach Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) collaboratively plans, prioritizes, and funds the transportation system in Palm Beach County.

Since joining the MPO in 2021 and serving as Governing Board Chair in 2026, she has strengthened our mission and helped advance a safer, more connected transportation future for Palm Beach County.

This week is National Teen Driver Safety Week! 🚗

Safe driving starts with making responsible choices. Parents, talk with your teens about staying focused, obeying speed limits, wearing seat belts, limiting distractions from passengers, and never driving under the influence. Responsible driving habits help protect teens and everyone else on the road.

Last week, Palm Beach MPO staff attended the 2026 APA Florida Planning Conference in Miami to connect with planning professionals from across Florida and exchange ideas on building safer, more connected communities.

The Palm Beach MPO was represented by Governing Board Member and Palm Beach County Commissioner Bobby Powell Jr., Deputy Director of Multimodal Brian Ruscher, Senior Multimodal Planner Margie Tamblyn, and Senior Transportation Planner Matthew Masa.

During the conference, Brian participated in a panel discussion on e-bike safety and micromobility, while Margie presented on the MPO’s Safe Routes to School efforts, highlighting the MPO’s work and sharing best practices.

The conference provided valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and explore innovative approaches to transportation and community planning that support a safer, more connected, and multimodal Palm Beach County.

Palm Beach MPO staff joined students this morning at Washington Elementary in Riviera Beach to celebrate the event. Across Palm Beach County, 63 schools took part in this year’s event to promote safe and active ways to get to school.
