Not Your Typical Book Club met tonight and was a great time! We discussed the New York Times 50 best thrillers, as well as some old and new favorites.

If you love to read, this group is for you! We enjoyed each other’s company, had a lot of laughs, and even a few crafty surprises with homemade bookmarks and carrot cake cupcakes. Delicious!

We’ve got another great week planned for you! Here’s what’s happening:

📖 TUESDAY

10–11 a.m. | Story & Craft
Enjoy a story followed by a fun craft!

🖍️ 3:30–4 p.m. | Story Break
A quick after-school story and coloring sheet.

📚 4–5 p.m. | Not Your Typical Book Club
This month, we’re talking THRILLERS, with a focus on The New York Times 50 Best Thrillers! All adults are welcome—and no required reading! Haven’t read a thriller? Come listen, discover some new titles, and meet fellow book lovers.

🦉 THURSDAY

5:30–6:30 p.m. | Whooo Goes There?
We’re reopening for a special evening children’s program! Miss Debbie will share an owl-themed story, and children will make a fall trail mix to take home.

🎁 Everyone attending will also be entered to win a book and a beautiful owl quilt!

We can never say enough wonderful things about our friend, patron, and Board of Trustees member, Annie England Noblin…..

A bittersweet premiere you won’t want to miss. ❤️

While we can’t wait to see Erin Cahill and Andrew Walker share the screen in Christmas in Blue Dog Valley, this holiday movie carries a deeply poignant backstory.

The film is a tribute to the original novel's author, Annie England Noblin, who tragically passed away from injuries sustained in a head-on car accident just months before the premiere.

As a huge animal lover herself, Annie's story features a special pup named Blue. Who else loves it when Hallmark movies include furry co-stars? 💖
