If you get a call saying you’ve overpaid your energy bill and need to provide banking or credit card information for a refund: hang up.

It’s likely a scam.

If you ever overpay your bill, your utility will simply apply the credit to your account or mail you a check. They will never call asking for your financial information to issue a refund.

Stay alert and help protect yourself and others.

✔️ Keep vehicles locked when parked
✔️ Place a purse, phone, or needed item in the back seat as a reminder
✔️ If you see a child alone in a vehicle, call 911 immediately

Before you do a control burn in our district, take a moment to let us know. This prevents our department from being dispatched to your controlled burn unnecessarily. We know, it takes time; but taking only a couple seconds to let us know helps keep down the amount of unnecessary emergency responses to control burns that were never an emergency. Call the number listed below before your next burn to do your part in helping keep our responders and our community safer.

Winter weather - extreme cold and snow - is making it's way across the state and could continue for an extended period.

Our crews are out. However, roads will not be clear while it's still coming down. Light, fluffy snow will accumulate. Check the Traveler Map for the latest: traveler.modot.org.
