Garlough Environmental Magnet School

Garlough Environmental Magnet School Garlough offers a rigorous environmental studies curriculum emphasizing science. At GEMS, environmental learning is at the core of everything we do.

Through nature-based experiences, we support and enhance children's intellectual, social, emotional and physical development. Students explore nature in Garlough Woods and at Dodge Nature Center as they gain a sense of wonder, respect, and care for the natural world. When interacting with the community through Facebook, the district seeks to maintain a safe, respectful and supportive environment.

To that end, the District has established the following guidelines: http://www.isd197.org/common/pages/DisplayFile.aspx?itemId=16101962

Happy last week of school! It’s been such an incredible year, and we appreciate all the ways families have helped make it a great year of learning and connection at school. We are excited to celebrate with students this week.

Enjoy a few photos of fun at recess and students helping Ms. Barbara feed the fish in the lobby as they walked into school last week.

🎭🐟 Bravo, Garlough GEMS! 🐟🎭

Thank you for an amazing performance, Garlough GEMS! The Rainbow Fish was a beautiful story of kindness, acceptance, and community, and we loved the music, costumes, and characters that brought it to life. 🌈✨

Our student performers did a fantastic job, and their hard work and enthusiasm shone through in every scene.

A special thank-you to our fearless leaders in music, art, and theater for the countless hours of planning, creativity, and encouragement that made this production possible. Your talents helped create a memorable experience for our students, families, and community. πŸ’›

Congratulations to everyone involved on a wonderful show! Also, if anyone has photos to share, post them in the comments! πŸ‘πŸŽΆ
