Engine #1 and it’s crew are currently battling a large residential structure fire in the Town Of Orchard Park mutual aid to Orchard Park Fire Company, our station is currently backfilled by our neighbors at Spring Brook Fire District #1

Thankfully our department didn’t see many collapses durning the recent storm but we did get alerted to a “General Fire Alarm Activation”, upon arrival the chief observed workers on the roof with a large portion of the roof collapsed due to the weight of the snow and ice, the chief ordered workers off the roof and ensured no persons were trapped in the rubble, the scene was turned over to the West Seneca Building Inspector.

This recent storm is one for the record books! There’s many people we wish to thank that assisted our department durning the storm but most importantly the members that called the station home throughout the storm, we maintained a full crew the entire storm to ensure public safety was top priority! Big thanks to Catco for assisting our crews access an apartment complex to get to an infant EMS emergency & Imperial Landscaping out of Boston, MA for volunteering to assist our crews in hydrant clean out, the hydrants in our entire district are cleaned out and ready for an emergency!

We received numerous awards this past weekend durning the community days parade! Thanks to our members that braved the heat and represented our department marching as well as making sure Engine 1 was shining! Thanks to the Town of West Seneca for hosting a great parade!

East Seneca members had the opportunity to train with the oil pits this evening at the Cheektowaga Fire Tower! Members trained in extinguishing various chemical fires! Thanks to our county fire instructors for leading this training!

Your East Seneca Volunteer Firefighters are currently on the Route 400 with a multi vehicle rollover accident, members on the heavy rescue are using there mobile vehicle struts to stabilize the vehicle along with extrication tools (Jaws of life) to extricate the victim(s), East Seneca Ambulance #8 is working on EMS care of victims in both cars. East Seneca is also being assisted by Vigilant Fire Company, WS

Today 3 members from East Seneca participated in the fight for air climb at highmark stadium to raise awareness for occupational exposure and increased risk for lung disease in first responders. Great work men!
