On October 5th, 2023, we lost one of our outstanding Lions - Larry Juda. https://www.klocfuneralhome.com/obituary/lawrence-juda

This past weekend at the WNY Lions - New York USA Fall Conference, Larry was awarded the Lions International Presidents Certificate of Appreciation for his many years as a Lion in the West Seneca Lions Club.

Lion Larry was a member of the West Seneca Lions Club for 20 years, and was always an active and faithful Lion.
Lion Larry served as Club Secretary in 2010-2011, Lion Tamer in 2014-2015, and then stepped up to be First Vice President in 2015 when an opening unexpectedly came up. Lion Larry served as Club President in 2016-2017, and Chairman in 2017-2018. Following his term as President, Lion Larry served as a Senior Director in 2018-2019.
Lion Larry also demonstrated his commitment to Lions and to his community by serving on many committees over the years, including Blind and Hearing Seals, Interclub, Lions Information, Pancake/Country Breakfast, Club Store, Bulletin, Calendar, Finance, Garden Veterans Walk, Special Needs Christmas Party, and others.
Lion Larry was always an active Lion, and was willing to lend a hand in any of our club service projects. He exemplified what being a Lion is all about.
Rest in Peace dear friend Larry, you will be missed.

From one of our West Seneca Lions….

“I feel a need to share a story with you. Every year The West Seneca Lions Club does a fundraiser to "help us help the blind" Sometimes I get alittle downhearted when I see all the well dressed people breeze by and don't contribute. However last year while standing at the polls at West Seneca West Senior High a young man reminded me why we do what we do. To my left elevator doors opened and out of it a student in a wheelchair rolled out. He made his way to our donation bucket and placed a $20 bill in it. Since it was such a large donation I asked him if he wanted change. His response...."That's ok. The West Seneca Lions got me this chair." I'm sure his parents are proud of him!

The West Seneca Lions will be at all the Polling places in West Seneca today, collecting for White Cane Day.

Deadline is November 1st.
