Peace Poster Contest - 11-13 year olds

For over three decades, Lions clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups. Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity.

The West Seneca Lions Club is sponsoring the contest open to all 11-13 year old students in West Seneca. While the international prize is $5000, our local club will be awarding prizes of $100, $75 and $50 to the winners.

For more information, contact Don Bray, 716-395-1430, [email protected]

Refractive errors can be easily corrected with eyeglasses, yet millions living in low and middle income countries lack access to basic eye care services. Lions have recognized the urgent need for corrective lenses and collect usable glasses in their communities to support the Lions Recycle For Sight Program.
People often ask "where can I donate glasses?" Here is a list of locations in West Seneca to donate eyeglasses.

The West Seneca Lions held a clothing drive on January 8th. Our wonderful town was very generous, and enough clothes were donated for us to pass them along to two organizations who really need them.

As a result of the generosity of our community, the Lions delivered enough clothes to the Buffalo City Mission to fill 8 large pallet boxes! The folks at the City Mission were very grateful. The Lions also delivered several bags and boxes of outerclothes to the Friends of Night People, along with gift cards to McDonald’s and Tim Horton’s.
