Visit the North Field to see Lycoris squamigera, known as the surprise lily or resurrection lily! They can be spotted in the grass pathway if you follow the northern stone wall from the Visitor Center.

These lilies having a fascinating growing pattern! The foliage emerges in the early spring and dies back through June but then later in the summer they erupt from the ground and are in full bloom in 4-5 days. They are a great addition to a garden, just don't forget where you planted them or you may end up planting things on top of them!
