West Union District Library The West Union District Library is a public library with many services including books, magazines, audio books, VHS movies, DVD movies, and more.

The library has public Internet and WI-FI. The library also has a copy machine, fax machine and notary services. The library marks the children's Accelerated Reader books with a label to help them locate books they may need for school.

The West Union District Library is having SILLY SAFARIS on June 19th at 10:30 am at the West Union Community Center.
The FREE LIVE ANIMAL SHOW is
for all ages! Come and enjoy seeing all types of animals and be entertained!

The Annual Summer Reading Contest begins June 1st for children 2 years old through 8th grade.
There will be book logs to write down your books, their pages and points! The more books that are
read to children or children read---the more prizes they will receive. Prizes will be a variety of things
and there will be food gift certificates! The Summer Reading theme is Get Hooked on Reading! The event
ends on August 8th.

The West Union District Library at 209 West Union Street will be having a special Book Sale on Friday, May 15, 2026 8:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 8:30 am to noon. There will be books for all ages. There will be fiction and non-fiction. Also there will be CDs, DVDs, VHS, etc. The prices range from 10 cents each to $1.00 each. The proceeds will go to the library. The book sale will be going on at the same time as the Town Wide Garage sale.
