Congratulations to Rebecca Spires on graduating from Manchester High School and the Ohio Valley Career and Technical Center's Welding program!

Rebecca represents exactly what career technical education is all about—developing skills, building confidence, and preparing for the future. Through her hard work in the welding lab and dedication in the classroom, she has prepared herself for her next chapter of service and leadership.

We are especially proud to see Rebecca choose to serve our country by enlisting in the U.S. Army after graduation. Her commitment, determination, and strong work ethic will serve her well as she transitions from the welding shop to military service.

Thank you to the PATH Program at OhioMeansJobs Adams Brown Counties and our community partners for helping students identify and achieve their goals. Success looks different for every student, and Rebecca's journey is another example of how education, workforce development, and service can come together to create a bright future.

Thank you for your willingness to serve, Rebecca, and congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment!

Students from culinary arts and construction have completed Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training. Yellow Belt is about identifying problems and then learning to create and implement solutions for those problems. The tools and methods can be used for organizations, businesses, schools, or just everyday life. These students did a great job brainstorming, utilizing charts and diagrams, and coming up with creative problem solving ideas.
