☀️🍎 FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR KIDS! 🥪☀️

Doddridge County Schools is partnering with Mountaineer Food Bank to help ensure children in our community have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer months.

Free multi-day breakfast and lunch packages are available for all children ages 18 and under and may be picked up by the child or a parent/guardian.

📍 June 1, 2026
• Doddridge County High School (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
• Center Point Library (3:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

📍 June 8, 2026
• Center Point Library ONLY (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

📍 August 10, 2026
• Doddridge County High School (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
• Center Point Library (3:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

Each distribution includes 7 days of breakfast and lunch meals for eligible children. While supplies last.

💚 A nutritious meal helps children learn, grow, play, and remain active all summer long.

Little Dogs on a Mission: DCES Day at the Park

Summer ☀️ is around the corner and what better way to prepare than a day of swimming 🏊‍♀️ , bouncy houses, and 🍨 Dippin Dots!

We had such an amazing day! Our final celebrations take place tomorrow with our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade awards 🏆 ceremonies!

TOMORROW!!

ATTENTION Parents and Guardians:

The weather forecast for tomorrow does not look promising for our Day at the Park. Therefore, we are going to have just one day at the park this Thursday, May 28, 2026.

1st and 2nd will enjoy inflatables in the morning while swimming in the afternoon.

3rd and 4th will be swimming in the morning and then enjoy inflatables in the afternoon.

Little Dogs on a Mission: 4th Grade Bash and Awards

A huge congratulations to our 4th grade students on their amazing four years at DCES. Students enjoyed a fun evening with their friends and classmates. They were also recognized for their attendance, academics, and benchmark growth at an awards ceremony.

Special awards were given out at the awards ceremony:
⭐️ Hannah Morgan was recognized as the Little Dog of the Year for the 4th grade class. This award is voted on by the teachers and recognizes hard work, determination, kindness, and heart.
⭐️ Ashley Booher was also recognized as the DCES PTO Volunteer of the Year. Ashley has always went above and beyond for DCES and we thank her for her commitment to our students.

DCES extends a thank you to our DCES PTO for providing pizza, chips, cupcakes, drinks, a photo backdrop and of course volunteers for our 4th grade class. Students were also gifted class shirts and signature pens as a keepsake. We appreciate Amanda Frix at Lincoln’s Cake Therapy for the amazing cupcakes and Ashley Booher for the awesome tshirts!

DCES and its staff wish the 4th grade class the best of luck in the coming years. We hope your time at Doddridge County Middle School is filled with excitement and learning!

Little Dogs on a Mission: Benchmark Testing Reward

DCES students earned ice cream today for their amazing efforts on the last round of benchmark testing this Spring. We are so proud of the effort every student put into the test!

Shoutout to Twisted Toppings (Jeff and Kelly Adams) for their continued partnership and investment to our students. We appreciate you being part of our school community.
