Spring Fire Season rules are in effect. No outdoor burning between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Winds and dry air allow fires to escape quickly. Clear 10 feet around your burn site. Never leave a fire unattended. Be careful and help us protect West Virginia. Fires must be attended at all times. Violations can result in fines!

Good afternoon ladies and Gentlemen. Boys and girls and Children of all ages.
If you haven't seen or heard yet. It's gonna be a beautiful day, However low humidity and wind gusts to 25 MPH. The national weather service, WV Dept of Forestry and your local Fire department. Highly advise you Don't Burn!!!! Remember the Burn ban is still in effect..

Good evening everyone. With the incoming winter weather. All 55 counties in the state are under a state of Emergency, per the governor. Please be safe if you have to travel out. We want to remind everyone, that if you see emergency crews, line workers or plow trucks out please slow down and give them plenty of space. At this time the Senior center will be a warming shelter if anyone should need it. Thanks again everyone stay safe

It comes with great sadness. That we learned about the passing of Willard Cutright. Willard was one of a kind to say the least. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and had for so many years. Willard was a long time member of the Dept. The members of the Department want to give our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of a great friend.. Fly high Willard.. RIP ol Friend
