Please stay weather aware and be ready to take action if flooding develops.

We need your help! If you safely take photos or videos of flooding, storm damage, high water, washed-out roads, downed trees, or other weather-related impacts, please tag Adams County Emergency Management Agency and include a location such as an address, road name, cross streets, township, village, or nearby landmark.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers... Ohio Brush Creek near West Union.

FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE MONDAY MORNING

WHERE: Ohio Brush Creek near West Union.

WHEN: Until late Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water rises over the east side of State Route 348 south of Cedar Mills, with lowland flooding of county roads especially near Lawshee and west of Peebles.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:00 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 11.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 20.9 feet late this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Flood Advisory extends until 7PM

A Flood Advisory is now in effect for Adams County and surrounding counties.

Reports are coming in of high water near or over roadways across portions of the area.

A Flood Advisory means that flooding is either occurring or is expected to occur soon, but the flooding is generally considered minor. Low-lying areas, poor drainage locations, creeks, streams, and some roadways may become impacted.

⚠️ Turn Around, Don’t Drown
Never drive through flooded roadways.

Continue to monitor conditions and use caution while traveling this afternoon.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 11:00 PM EDT this evening for Adams County, Ohio. Heavy rainfall over already saturated ground may lead to flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying or flood-prone areas.

🌧️ FLOOD WATCH 🌧️

A Flood Watch is now in effect from Noon EDT today through late tonight.

Periods of heavy rain may lead to flash flooding of creeks, streams, low-lying areas, and roadways. Around 1 inch of rain is expected with localized totals up to 3 inches possible.

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms also cannot be ruled out.

⚠️ TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN ⚠️
Never drive through flooded roadways.
