The Wi******er Homecoming Festival is underway! šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø It’s one of my favorite Adams County traditions, and there is plenty happening in Wi******er this weekend!

This evening’s festivities include the opening ceremony and introduction of Grand Marshals Donald and Kim Bowman, inflatables and games, the Queens Contest, Poplar Ridge Bluegrass Band, Southern Buckeye GT Pulling and The Sundown Band at 8 p.m.

And no trip to the Wi******er Homecoming Festival would be complete without a bag—or two—of the Wi******er Community Fire District’s famous caramel corn! šŸæ

Once again, the members of the Fire District are stirring it the old-fashioned way in the kettle and selling it for just $3 a bag. Best of all, your purchase supports the Wi******er Community Fire District and the important work they do for our area.

Congratulations and thank you to the Fire District members who put in the time and effort to continue this great Homecoming tradition. Three dollars, a great bag of caramel corn and an even better cause—that’s hard to beat!

Come out to Wi******er tonight, enjoy the festival and support local!

The Wi******er Homecoming Festival is full of traditions, and one of my favorites is the annual Culinary Contest! šŸ„§šŸ°

We have some incredibly talented bakers in Adams County who know how to whip up the very finest cakes, pies, cookies, candy, breads and other homemade treats—and Saturday is their chance to show us what they can do!

This year’s contest includes categories for cakes, candy, pies, cookies and bars, miscellaneous baked goods, and a special Americana-decorated category. There’s also a category for children 16 and under, so our young bakers can get involved, too.

Entries should be brought to the Trustee Building between 9–11 a.m. this Saturday, August 29. No entries will be accepted after 11 a.m. First- and second-place winners will be announced before the auction.

Then comes another fun tradition—the entries will be auctioned Saturday evening at 6 p.m., with proceeds helping support the Wi******er Homecoming Festival.

I’ll be there supporting the festival and our local bakers, and I’m looking forward to seeing—and maybe tasting—some of Adams County’s finest creations!

Good luck to everyone entering this year! šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸ„§

Today, we lost a true American treasure. Dolly Parton was more than a legendary singer and entertainer — she was a person who believed in giving back, helping others, and making sure every child had the opportunity to dream. Her Imagination Library has put millions of books into the hands of children, including right here in Adams County.

As we remember Dolly, I would love to see her legacy continue in our community.

If you have a child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or little one in your life who is under 5, please consider signing them up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. They can receive a free book delivered to their home every month. ā¤ļøšŸ“š

It would mean the world to me to see Adams County families take advantage of this wonderful program and help keep Dolly’s love of children and reading alive.

I really enjoyed spending the evening with voters from West Union, Tiffin Township, Liberty Township, and other parts of Adams County tonight for Politics & Pie, hosted by the Adams County Republicans and held at the Panhandle!

It was a great opportunity to meet voters face to face, answer questions, and share my plans for serving as your next Adams County Common Pleas Judge. I also appreciated the opportunity to talk about my conservative credentials, my experience, and my commitment to upholding the Constitution, following the law, and ensuring our court is fair, firm, and accountable.

Thank you to everyone who came out, enjoyed some pie, asked questions, and took the time to get to know the candidates. I love meeting voters where they live, hearing what’s on their minds, answering their questions, and earning their vote one conversation at a time.

Thank you, West Union, Tiffin Township, Liberty Township, and everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening!

šŸ° I hope you’ll join me tonight for Politics & Pie!

Tonight from 6–8 p.m. at Sunset Bowl, I’ll be joining our Republican candidates and elected officials for an evening of conversation with Adams County voters from West Union, Liberty Township, and Tiffin Township.

I look forward to visiting with you, answering your questions, and sharing more about my plans for the Adams County Court of Common Pleas and the kind of judge I will be if given the honor of serving you.

This is what Politics & Pie is all about—giving voters an opportunity to meet the candidates face to face, look them in the eye, ask questions, and hear directly from us.

Tonight’s gathering is for Adams County voters who live in West Union, Liberty Township, and Tiffin Township. Politics & Pie will be traveling throughout Adams County in the coming weeks, so voters in every area will have an opportunity to attend one close to home.

šŸ‚ Just 30 days until fall! šŸ

We’ve had a great summer in Adams County, but I have to admit—I’m starting to look forward to what comes next.

There’s something special about fall in our little corner of Ohio. The changing leaves across our rolling hills, crisp mornings, country roads lined with beautiful fall colors, pumpkins on the porch—and, of course, a little pumpkin spice and everything nice!

We are blessed to live in a county that is beautiful every season, but Adams County really knows how to show off in the fall.

Summer, we’ve enjoyed you—but who else is ready for sweater weather, colorful hillsides and all things fall? šŸ‚šŸŽƒ

30 days and counting!

The Wi******er Homecoming Festival has always been one of my favorite Adams County traditions, and I’m looking forward to another wonderful weekend in Wi******er August 28–30!

This year will be especially meaningful as Donald and Kim Bowman serve as the festival’s Grand Marshals.

Donald and Kim both grew up in Wi******er and have spent their lives giving back to the place they call home. Donald retired from General Motors in Dayton after 32 years of making the drive back and forth for work. He also spent time working as a janitor for Adams County/Ohio Valley Local Schools. Kim devoted her career to nursing and has served Wi******er in numerous ways, including with the Life Squad, village government, and local organizations.

Their story is one of family, hard work, service, and a genuine love for Wi******er. I can’t think of a more fitting couple to lead this year’s Homecoming Festival.

Congratulations, Donald and Kim! Thank you for the many ways you have served Wi******er and Adams County over the years. This recognition is certainly well deserved.

I hope everyone will make plans to come out for the Homecoming Festival and celebrate one of our county’s great traditions! šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Well, it’s official—we’re empty nesters! ā¤ļøšŸŒ°

We got Emmy moved in this week at The Ohio State University, and while it’s certainly a big adjustment for us, we are so proud and excited for everything ahead of her.

To all of our Adams County students heading off or returning to college this month, I wish you the very best as you begin another school year. Work hard, enjoy the experience, make some great memories, and never forget where you came from.

May each of you have a safe, successful and rewarding year. Adams County is proud of you, and we’ll be cheering you on from home!

And to all the other new empty nesters out there—I think we’re going to need some advice! 😊

A beautiful evening in Manchester tonight for the Annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner! šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

It was a pleasure to join so many friends and neighbors from across Adams County for an evening of good conversation, fellowship and a shared commitment to our county and state.

We were fortunate to hear from Ohio Auditor of State and candidate for Attorney General Keith Faber, as well as Gabe Guidarini of Turning Point Action, founded by Charlie Kirk. Those in attendance also received an update from Rep. Justin Pizzulli.

I also enjoyed spending time with Prosecutor Ariana Norris, Commissioner Kelly Jones, and Auditor David Gifford. Adams County is fortunate to have public servants who care deeply about the people they serve and work hard on their behalf.

With the beautiful Ohio River as our backdrop—even running a little high tonight—it was hard to ask for a better setting.

Thank you to the GOP Club for putting together another wonderful Lincoln-Reagan Dinner, to the crowd for such a warm welcome, and to the Scott family for opening their beautiful venue for the evening.

There’s something special about gathering with your neighbors, catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. I’m grateful to call Adams County home and grateful for another memorable evening together.
