Due to a recent water main break, customers in the following areas are asked to boil water used for human consumption for 3–5 minutes as a safety precaution:

If you are outside of these listed roads but experienced low water pressure or no water, you are also under this advisory.
🔹 Please boil all water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, and washing food for 3–5 minutes before use.

Adams County Regional Water District is currently accepting applications for a Field Laborer position.

The Field Laborer is responsible for assisting field operators with functions related to distribution and plant maintenance. Duties include assisting with maintenance and repairs within the distribution system, water treatment plant, and well field. This position also includes an on-call rotation once every five weeks, from Friday to Friday.

Qualifications:

Applicants must:
*Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
*Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
*Be insurable under the District fleet policy
*Be able to use a computer and iPad

Benefits:
*100% District-paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance
*Paid holidays
*Paid sick leave
*Paid vacation time
*Participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS)

Position Details:
*Full-time, permanent position
*Starting pay: $16.00 per hour

We are pleased to announce two important leadership updates for our team:

Introducing Johnny Hayslip as Interim General Manager
Johnny has been a dedicated member of the water company since 2008, when he began his career as a laborer. Through hard work and commitment, he steadily advanced within the organization:
• Earned his Class 1 Water Operator License in 2011
• Promoted to Operator
• Named Assistant Distribution Supervisor in February 2016
• Promoted to Distribution Supervisor in 2022
• Achieved his Class 2 Distribution License in February 2026
Johnny’s leadership, experience, and deep understanding of our system make him exceptionally qualified for this role. We are excited to see him step into the position of Interim General Manager and look forward to his continued impact on our organization.

Introducing Nathan Crothers as Distribution Supervisor
Nathan has been a valued member of the water company since 2005. He began as a laborer and worked his way up to become an Operator, demonstrating dedication and strong technical skill along the way.
In 2016, he earned his backflow prevention certification, further strengthening his expertise in distribution operations.
Nathan has been an essential part of the ACRWD team, and we are proud to give him the opportunity to lead our distribution crew. We are confident he will excel in this new role.

🎉Congratulations Rick Adamson on Your Retirement! 🎉
Rick began his career with ACRWD in January 1987 as a laborer/operator. Through dedication, hard work, and a strong commitment to the water utility industry, he steadily worked his way up to become Operations Superintendent at the water plant, where he also oversaw construction of the Water Plant in 1997.
In 2004, Rick was appointed General Manager of ACRWD, a role he proudly served in for 21 years. Over the course of his remarkable 39-year career with ACRWD, Rick’s leadership, experience, and unwavering dedication have had a lasting impact on the organization and the community it serves.
Rick will truly be missed at the water company, but we are incredibly grateful for his many years of service and commitment.
We wish him all the best as he begins this well-deserved chapter of retirement!
