Asher’s story is one many families can relate to.

In Utah, 1 in 5 children under age 8 experience mental, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. Children’s mental health includes how they experience emotions, build relationships, cope with stress, and move through key developmental milestones.

When families understand the warning signs and seek support early, it can change the trajectory of a child’s life and the life of their family for generations to come.

Thank you to for sharing this powerful story and thank you to Lindsey for bravely sharing the impact early mental health treatment had on her child and family.

We’re grateful for our partnership with Fidelity Investments and their continued commitment to supporting young children and families in our community.

For their most recent service project with The Children’s Center Utah, Fidelity volunteers helped create self-regulation kits for children receiving family therapy services.

Each kit includes sensory toys and guided activity cards designed to help children practice important skills like breathing, movement, identifying emotions, and using healthy coping strategies.

These thoughtful kits give children and families simple, hands-on tools to support emotional regulation both during therapy and at home.

Thank you, , for helping us nurture healing, connection, and resilience for the children and families we serve. 💚
