This past Saturday, April 18 I presented and participated in Utah Swimmin's 2026 Swimposium. I met and spoke with alot of beautiful and respectful 13 and under athletes from many different teams. I also was able to participate with my Utah Swim family. Thank you to Utah Swimming and all that put this together. I want to put a special thanks to all the BYU and UofU swimmers who mentored all our youth athletes. Also, thank you to all the parents for bringing their swimmers. Thank you to Maureen Sullivan Schiffman for putting alot of work to make this all happen.

I would like to share with Utah Swimming and all the teams out there. I am grateful that I was blessed to be the Head coach for this 2025 Age Group Zones for all of the Utah 14 and under swimmers. All of the swimmers performed great and set many personal bests. We also set several western zone records. Thanks again to all the assistant coaches and chaperone that helped make this endeavor possible.

Today was early morning Breaststroke clinic for all our WVA swimmers. We put on team clinics once a month. I want to thank my group for being swim partners for our younger swimmers. We worked on breaststroke kicking, rhythm and timing of the stroke. All swimmers did fantastic. And of course it's not a clinic without having a cannonball contest at the end of practice.

It's been a busy two weeks! Sr. State was the last weekend of February and Age Group State was this last weekend. We had great performances at both meets with time drops from many swimmers and several team records broken. At Age Group this weekend, our 14 & Under swimmers racked up a whopping 40 medals!!! Out of the 40, there were 5 Golds, 6 Silvers, and 6 Bronze! Congratulations goes out to our new State Champions: Zoe Tashjoan in the 100 Fly, Shayla Zulcic in the 500 and 1650 Free, and Cadence Lawes in the 100 Back and 200 Fly. Shayla and Cadence also achieved High Point Awards. The Girls 13-14 400 Free Relay dropped 11 seconds and took 2nd at State! Fantastic work WVA!!!

These three swimmers competed in the ISCA West Elite Showcase in California last weekend and did AMAZING! with just three swimmers they took 4th in points in Women's and 6th overall! All total WVA came home with 23 Medals! Of them 11 were Gold, 4 Silvers, and 3 Bronze. Way to represent WVA!!!

Look out Florida, here comes WVA! Four of our swimmers are competing in the 32nd Winter Speedo Championships this weekend. We've already seen some great swim times from them and still have two days of competition left. GOOD LUCK SWIMMERS! GO WVA!
