Monticello Academy is Utah’s 2026 Charter School of the Year! 🏆

Out of 138 charter schools across Utah, Monticello Academy has been named the 2026 UAPCS Circle of Excellence School of the Year by the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools.
This award recognizes strong academic results, impressive student growth, and a well-rounded program that supports students in academics, character, the arts, computer science, outdoor education, and more.

We are grateful to the students, families, teachers, and staff at both our West Valley City and West Point campuses who make Monticello such a special place to learn.

Monticello Academy students are getting outdoors! 🌿🚣‍♀️

We’re excited to announce a new partnership between Monticello Academy and the Wasatch Mountain Institute (WMI). WMI’s mission is to make hands-on, science-based outdoor education accessible to all students, and together we’re creating an awesome series of field experiences for grades 5–7 this year.

Each grade will explore the outdoors in unique ways designed to build curiosity, character, knowledge, and connection to our local environment.

First stop? Coming soon: Kayaking on the Jordan River with our 6th graders!

Great news! We’ve received a Healthy Meals Incentives Recognition Award from Action for Healthy Kids and the U.S. Department of Agriculture for our breakfast and lunch programs—just the second district in Utah to earn this prestigious designation! 🏆

Enter through the parking lot gate/back of the gym.
You may bring washed, uniform items in good condition to trade in for the same items (donate a shirt, get a shirt).

🎹 A Concert to Remember!

Award-winning concert pianist Misha Galant delivered stunning performances for our elementary and middle school students today!

🎶 Our students' hard work in music and music history was on full display—they listened very attentively and impressed Mr. Galant with their knowledge of the composers of his pieces.

👏 Mr. Galant said, “This was the best school audience I have ever played for—and I’ve played in a lot of schools!”
