🚨 Heads Up, West Windsor! 🇺🇸
Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst has released their June Noise Calendar, and several days may bring increased noise and vibrations from military training.

🔴 HIGHER NOISE DAYS (RED):
📅 June 1 through June 7
📅 June 9 through June 10
📅 June 14

You may hear:
💥 Loud booms
🌎 Ground vibrations
🎯 Intermittent activity throughout the day and evening

🐾 Pet Safety Tips
✅ Keep pets indoors during high noise days
✅ Close windows and use TVs, fans, or white noise
✅ Create a quiet, comfortable space for pets
✅ Watch for signs of stress such as pacing, hiding, shaking, or whining
✅ Talk with your veterinarian if your pet has noise anxiety

This is scheduled military training and while sometimes startling, it is expected and temporary.

Please avoid the area of Fairview Avenue and Fisher Place after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, while roadway line striping operations are underway.

Motorists should expect temporary delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. Please use caution if traveling through the area and follow all posted traffic control measures.

Heads up, Mercer County residents! 📢 On Monday, June 1, 2026, between 6:00 a.m. and sunset (weather permitting), Mercer County Mosquito Control will be conducting aerial larval mosquito control operations using a helicopter In the event of rain, the operation will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2026
⚠️ IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE that this is NOT an area-wide adult mosquito "spraying" operation
! Instead, we are applying Bti-based, target-specific, biorational granules directly over standing water This helps prevent larval mosquitoes in large, inaccessible breeding habitats from ever developing into biting adults
👀 What to expect: You might notice our helicopter flying at low altitudes near residential areas as it positions to approach the nearby treatment sites
