Rise Against Hunger.

WW Lions Club, thanks to a generous donation by Abha Sharma and Suyog Gandhi , and fundraising by Leos raised money to provide 10,000 meals. Step for a Better World Leos and members of public volunteered for many hours to pack these meals at the WW Volunteer Fire Company. Heartfelt thanks to DG John JD Schweska and SVDG Peter Twill for coming for the entirety of the event and help substantially with meal packing.

West Windsor Lions Club also got recognized for procuring and packing 100,000 meals cumulatively over the past years.

Heartfelt thanks to the Easter Bunny who showed up with grace and love to the joyful cheers of hundreds of kids of our town and brought along numerous gifts… and thousands of treats filled easter eggs for the kids. West Windsor Lions Club organized their annual Easter Egg hunt during the weekend. This amazing celebration would not have been possible without the invaluable help from Boy Scouts Troop 66, STEP for a Better World Leos, West Windsor Volunteer Fire Company #1 and West Windsor Police Department.

Happy Easter and Happy Spring!

The “Lions Recycle for Sight” program collects, cleans, and sorts used prescription glasses, reading glasses, and sunglasses to be distributed to people in need around the world, particularly the resource-starved regions of the world. Members of Leo Club (STEP For A Better World) helped the West Windsor Lions Club by sorting collected eyeglasses, supporting the recycling process and demonstrating youth leadership and service in action. Next, volunteers at regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers (LERCs) will carefully clean, repair, and determine prescription strengths of donated eyewear. Glasses that cannot be reused are responsibly recycled, with proceeds supporting Lions humanitarian efforts.

Thank you Leos!!
