Wrapping up 16 incredible weeks with our UNE intern, Chelsea Crockett! 💙 From refining our client and caseworker surveys and coordinating delivery logistics to seeing homes transformed firsthand, Chelsea’s impact here has been huge. Thank You!
As she takes the next steps toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and certified drug and alcohol counselor, the empathy, communication, and assessment skills she sharpened here will make her an extraordinary clinician.
Not a goodbye, just a see you later—we are so excited to watch all that you accomplish, Chelsea! 🛋️✨

Furniture Friends is thrilled to team up with the wonderful crew at chickadeeds and amazing local artist rachel gloria adams to host a special service event this November: Paint It Forward Warehouse Party!🎉

Our warehouse is where our volunteers, staff, and clients build community every day. We want it to be a vibrant, welcoming space filled with joy, and we can’t wait to bring that vision to life!

We are deeply grateful and thrilled to partner with Maine Needs to help ensure our neighbors have what they need to truly feel at home.

When community organizations, dedicated volunteers, and donors work in unison, the impact is transformational. Together, we can make sure 2,000 people across Greater Portland have a proper bed, clean sheets, and warm blankets to sleep in each night.

A good night’s sleep isn't a luxury—it’s a foundation. For neighbors overcoming trauma and steep obstacles, having a comfortable, safe place to rest is essential so they can keep moving forward, healing, and growing. We can’t wait to do this work alongside you!💚💛🩵

What a great day at the Volunteer Maine 40th Volunteer Leadership Conference in Augusta! 💙 From delicious muffins to even better conversations, we connected with nonprofit leaders from across the state collaborated on new ideas, and explored fresh ways to engage and support our volunteers.

We were especially proud that our Community Engagement & Development Coordinator, Sophia, served on this year’s planning committee and participated as a panelist, helping lead conversations on engaging new Mainers in volunteerism!

Massive shoutout to University of New England for donating desks, dressers, and chairs from their Biddeford campus! Our amazing staff and volunteers powered through the heat to haul it all back to our Westbrook warehouse last week. 🚚💨
