Spotted: our next literary event selection at ๐Ÿ˜ Heartwood by Amity Gaige is the story of a hiker who goes missing on the Appalachian Trail in western Maine and the hunt to find her, told from the perspective of three different women: the lost hiker, the game warden in charge of finding her, and an out-of-state armchair detective who gets sucked into the search. Our book discussion takes place at Gambo Preserve on 6/9 at 5:30pm - learn more and register to join at prlt.org/events.

Emily started with PRLT last December and had never seen the alewive migration before. She decided to film her first visit to show you what the journey is like to the southern viewing pool from the trailhead at Perry Court (our recommended route to see the most fish). How was her trip? In her words, "so many fish!" (and also, "don't forget your bug spray").

More info about how YOU can experience the wonders of the alewife migration for yourself is available on our website at https://www.prlt.org/alewife-migration

If you're out exploring, tag us in your photos ๐Ÿ“ธ we want to see how you're enjoying this year's migration!

One week left to buy your Hannaford Community Bag to support PRLT! As this month's beneficiary, we will receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 reusable Hannaford Community Bag sold in May at the Hannaford in Buxton. Great time to stock up if your current reusable bag collection is starting to wear thin.

Please enjoy the May 21, 2026 issue of the Gorham Times. In this electronic issue, please note on page 11 that this is the 2027 school budget that we'll be voting on, not 2026 as the paper copy indicates.
