Kathy Hochul wants you to turn your thermostat up to 78 degrees because she broke New York’s power grid. Her administration aggressively wiped out 3,000 megawatts of reliable energy—enough to power over two million homes—leaving our infrastructure maxed out and ready to snap. We already pay 70% higher utility bills than the rest of the nation. For those prices, basic air conditioning shouldn't be treated like a privilege, yet Hochul wants New York families to sweat in the dark for her incompetence. I have a better recommendation for New Yorkers: keep your AC cold this summer, and let's change the thermostat in Albany this November.
