Eligibility:

Mission Statement:
Resources-Our mission is to help ensure that Veterans of Local 63 with the support and resources to access benefits through working alongside Veteran Service Officers (VSO) and different Veteran groups to help with up-to-date information and claims.
Camaraderie- While we deeply respect and value our Union Brothers and Sisters, there is a distinct bond shared among service members. That bond is forged through shared experiencesābeing in harmās way, relying on the person to your left and right with your life, and enduring challenges together. Many of us face similar struggles when transitioning into Ironwork and civilian life. We embraced the suck together, leaned on one another, and came out changed because of it. We are brothers in arms. The goal is to feel that Brotherhood and Sisterhood again.
Information/Advocacy-Inform our Brothers and Sisters of their rights and any relevant legislation that may affect benefits or those rights we earned serving in the military. We will fight for these always and advocate for strong Veteran supporters and legislators.
Local Involvement- Get our name out there in Veteransā community by organizing events, fundraisers, and working alongside other Veteran organizations and helping Veterans in need on a local level as well. Outreaching to young transitioning Veteran that may be interested in becoming a member of Ironworkers Local 63 and filling our ranks with some of the best the Nation has to offer.
This is a broad mission statement and like in the Marine Corps weād say āSemper Gumbyā always flexible. We can add, change or update at any time. Because much like in the military, it is best to be a tight unit moving in the same direction, thatās how you achieve the greatest force. So lets get together and collectively as a unit make this the best damn Veterans committee in country.
Semper Fidelis,
Jimmy Welter
