One year ago, we lost not only a colleague, but a true friend. Andrew served as a paramedic, dedicating his life to caring for others with compassion, skill, and unwavering commitment. He was the kind of person who gave fully — to his family, his patients, his team, and the world around him.
We continue to feel his absence deeply, but we carry forward his legacy in the way we show up for others, just as he always did.
We miss you, Andrew.

Multi Agency Fire Training Saturday 3/29 Morning.

Weather conditions permitting, the Wet Mountain Fire Protection District will be conducting a training burn on Saturday morning, March 29th. WMFPD in partnership with two other agencies will be conducting a live fire training on Verdemont (Cty Rd 182) Road.

This training will certify 19 new wildland firefighters from three different departments. These personnel will help protect residents in Custer County, Fremont County and in the Deer Mountain Fire District in the case of any Urban/Wildland fire incidents.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, please DO NOT call this incident into FRECOM. This sanctioned training is exempt from the current stage one fire restriction and all proper precautions are being taken.
