Subject: Growing Tech Business Seeks to Build Remote Workforce in Rural Colorado
Colorado’s First LONE (Location Neutral Employee) Incentive Recipient, Pax8, is Hiring
Custer County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) today announced that Pax8, a fast-growing information technology company based in Denver and expanding domestically and internationally, is seeking job candidates from Custer County, and the Upper Arkansas River Valley region, as well as elsewhere in Colorado. They recently added six employees located at the Emergent Campus in Florence.

Pax8’s projected expansion plans could create more than 1,800 additional jobs in Colorado over the next decade.
In February, Pax8 was the first company to receive Colorado’s Location Neutral Employee (LONE) incentive. The new performance-based incentive provides tax credits for each remote worker a company employs in an eligible rural county as part of their expansion.
“Our opportunity to bring a company such as Pax8 and their jobs to our community has been one of the primary reasons for our efforts to improve the broadband infrastructure in Custer County. It was a primary reason to establish our organization” said Charles Bogle, President of CCEDC.
