Congratulations to our long time dispatch employee & friend Christopher Clarkin. Chris was sworn in last night as fire chief for Mystic Fire Department. Chris began his work with Westerly Ambulance/Dispatch in 2002 and has remained a constant fixture here at the Corps. Congratulations Chris on your new appointment as fire chief!

Tomorrow, October 4, 2023, at 2:20pm, FEMA plans a nationwide test that will send an emergency message to all cellphones, radios and televisions. It is only a test and no action is needed.

🚁 FLIGHT NOTIFICATION: June 29th

Helicopter N712CA will be on powerline patrol today between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m in the vicinity of the following locations:
Stonington, CT
Westerly, CT

The helicopter will be flying at approximately 125-150 feet above ground level and will stop momentarily at each tower. The helicopter will be required to make two passes, each on opposite sides of the track to eliminate blind spots during our inspection process. The helicopter may also be seen traveling from one location to another or surveying the route.

The flight path is highlighted below in orange:
