Lock Your Cars at Night

The WSPD reminds all residents to prioritize locking their vehicles. Theft can occur when cars are left unlocked, especially when valuables are visible, or when an extra key fob is left inside the car. There has been a recent increase in these crimes of opportunity in surrounding areas, and Western Springs is not immune. Be sure to secure your vehicles, especially at night.

She also visited the 3rd graders to let them know she was sorry to have missed their Police Station tour earlier this week.

As we approach Memorial Day and the warmer weather of the summer season, residents are reminded that fireworks are prohibited in the Village of Western Springs, and in the State of Illinois. Not only are they dangerous, but they can be alarming to neighbors and pets.
