Western Town Library

Western Town Library The Westernville Town Library is dedicated to providing library materials, computer access, and events to our community.

The Library was founded in 1923 to serve the community of Westernville, NY. It was first located in a series of private homes in the community, followed by occupying a room in Liberty Hall from 1962 to 1974. In 1974, the City of Rome returned the former Western town schoolhouse over to the Town of Western. Major renovations were made to the building, and the Library officially moved into the build

ing in July 1974. The Library is part of the Mid-York Library System network in Central New York. Today, the Library is managed by our talented Director, Jodi Oaks, and two assistants, Rebecca Barnes and Sandrine Copeland. Stop in today to say hello and to get your library card!
