RUDOLPH 5K RUN IS HERE!!!

Every December the Westerville Lions Club hosts the Rudolph 5K Run/Walk, and it has turned into a real Westerville tradition. Hundreds of people come out, and not all of them are runners. We get walkers, stroller pushers, dog walkers, wagon pullers, and plenty of folks who just show up to watch.

This year, it’s happening on Sunday, December 6, 2026 at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N Cleveland Ave.

The Rudolph Run is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds go to the Westerville Lions Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3), which supports more than 15 local organizations including WARM, The Big Bus, Pilot Dogs, and the Central Ohio Diabetes Association.

For sponsorship, contact Lions Mike McCusker or Howard Baum at [email protected].

We were all a bit nervous the BioBlitz on Sunday September 20th wouldn’t happen given such a rainy Sunday morning. Thankfully, the weather cleared up and we had a beautiful afternoon at Blendon Wood Metro Park. We had 15 people join the iNaturalist project. We currently have over 350 photos showcasing the beautiful plants & animals around the park, over 160 species! The project is open on the app through November 30th, so feel free to take a walk through the park and snap some more! Huge thank you to all the Lions who came out to help with the event.

Many thanks to the brain behind this project, Bianca E. for allowing the Westerville Lions Club to be a part of this.
