Ready to serve, lead and make an impact in your community?

Registration is open for WELD’s 2026 Government Boards & Commissions Skills Certification Program – Fall Session, a three-part virtual program designed to prepare women for effective service on federal, state, county and city boards and commissions.

Participants will gain valuable insight into:

-Governance of government boards and commissions
-Ethics, conflict of interest, conduct and parliamentary proceedings
-The appointment process and effective participation
-Leadership attributes that support meaningful board service

The Fall program begins September 21, 2026, with additional modules on October 5 and October 19. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion and may be eligible for SHRM PDC, Ohio CLE and Ohio CPE credits.

Registration for Module 1 closes September 14.

The WELD Pathway to Management Program for Women of Color is a six-part, in-person leadership experience designed to help participants strengthen self-awareness, build meaningful relationships, and prepare for greater leadership responsibility.

Participants will learn from experienced instructors across six core leadership areas, including emotional intelligence, relationship building, executive leadership, social responsibility, and more.
